The series embraces collectibles ranging from the Jackson Five period to the prime time of his solo career, covering his stage costumes, hand-drawn pictures, and an opulent collection of Italian furniture intended for his residence during the “This Is It” concert which was planned to be held in Kent, London in July 2009.. Want to have a preview of the items and savour the iconic moments of Hollywood superstars all at one time? It is now all exclusive in Ponte 16. Some of the highlights are only on display until 9 May 2010.
“Ponte 16 is proud to be selected as the exclusive venue for the Macau stage of Julien’s Auctions’ world exhibition tour. Our partnership with the auction house in staging the exhibition in Macau during the Golden Week holiday has shown our dedication to bringing more international events to the local scene, which will enhance the tourist appeal of Macau. The exhibition will supplement the exciting features of our property in the culturally rich Inner Harbour and further recognize the unique position of Ponte 16 as a perfect mix of entertainment, culture and tourism in Macau,” said Dr. Ambrose So, Chairman of Ponte 16.
Last November Ponte 16 acquired the white rhinestone glove worn by MJ when he premiered his Moonwalk dance and opened later in February the “MJ Gallery at Ponte 16”, which has become a popular destination for residents and tourists alike. With anaim to support local cultural activities, Ponte 16, has once again brought to Macau legendary items of MJ and other Hollywood megastars. The exhibition is the first event that Ponte 16 joins hands with Julien’s Auctions, following which in October will be the auction house’s first international auction in Asia, once again brought to Macau exclusively by Ponte 16.
All exhibits are available for public bidding in an auction held by Julien’s Auctions in Las Vegas this June. An exquisitely made, limited-edition auction catalog will be available for sale at the exhibition in Macau. Members of the MJ Fans Club can enjoy exclusive priority order.
